After I've seen how it looks I asked myself the same thing. But now I'll wait to see how will look in time if it's worth the trouble. If it will be OK I'll buy a transparent version and will apply it with the correct length and width, and cut after the shape of the bumper.

According to the smiley you are not happy with the result. Imho I would rather have scratches on the bumper than having this.
